Amy Jones
Co- Director
Amy brings a strong blend of professional expertise and lived experience to Together Bristol. She holds a Diploma in Social Care and a 2:1 degree in Professional Policing Practice, providing her with a solid foundation in safeguarding, communication, and supporting vulnerable individuals. She began her career in policing, developing key skills in risk assessment and decision-making, before moving into social care, where she strengthened her ability to deliver person-centred support. Amy has also gained valuable experience within Special Educational Needs (SEN) environments, supporting individuals with a wide range of needs and building a calm, adaptable, and empathetic approach. Her work is deeply influenced by her personal life. Growing up with her brother Daniel, who has Down syndrome, gave her a lasting understanding of the importance of dignity, patience, and truly individualised care. At Together Bristol, Amy leads on care delivery and safeguarding. She is committed to creating a consistent, supportive environment and building trusting relationships with families, ensuring every individual feels safe, respected, and valued.
Together Bristol was inspired by our experience growing up alongside our brother Daniel, who has Down syndrome. Seeing firsthand the importance of routine, dignity, and genuine connection shaped our understanding of what meaningful day support should feel like.
As Daniel moved into adulthood, we became increasingly aware of how limited the options were for services that truly felt calm, respectful, and designed for adults — rather than adapted from children’s models. We saw how much of a difference the right environment, the right people, and the right structure can make, not just for the individual, but for the whole family.
Together Bristol was created to offer that kind of space: a small, welcoming, and thoughtfully structured day service where adults with learning disabilities can feel valued, build confidence, and be part of a community — while families have peace of mind knowing their loved one is supported with care and consistency.
